On Friday I was asked to join Barbara Bysouth & her volunteers on a litter pick around the top of Barnham Common. It was really sad to see the effort someone had gone to disposing their rubble & mattresses in the wooded area backing onto Laburnham Grove.
However, the sun was shining and as I walked back along Elm Road to our office at the CBC, I was greeted by 2 fantastic examples of people loving where they live! The first was a lovely couple who along with their neighbours have taken great pride in the front of their property, having lived there since the house was built. They told me how much they enjoyed where they live and the town generally. Further along I came across Richard, who looks after all the verges around where he lives and takes great pride in creating natural gardens. In the beautiful sunshine, the gardens looked great, a riot of colour!
